(Hours 3a,b,c) Sid GlassnerRich talked about more issues within the Timberlane Regional School District.  He commented on what is and is not non-public information and spoke about school governance.  He then introduced Sid Glassner, Senior Fellow with the New England Society for the Study of Education, for Is Our Children Learning.  They spoke about culture and art/entertainment, ESSA and more.

(Hour 3b) Rich and Sid continued in their discussion about the roles of superintendents and local school boards.  They spoke about lessons that have been learned in school and updated the listeners about the Sheri Lederman case, which was spoken about on this show in the past.

(Hour 3c) Sid spoke to Rich about the intimidation factor that teachers felt during the implementation of Common Core at the hands of President Barack Obama and former United States Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.  They talked about the importance of participating to share your values with the community before it’s too late.  Finally, they shared about the passing of a friend to the show and more.
