CONCORD—The New Hampshire House Business Coalition, in partnership with the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, announced yesterday that they will host a series of business roundtable events with the major presidential candidates from both parties beginning in April.

“We want to provide an opportunity for employers and legislators to learn more about the candidates’ specific ideas for improving the business climate and economy,” said New Hampshire House Business Caucus founder and chair, Rep. Laurie Sanborn (R-Bedford).  “As state representatives, it’s so important that we regularly interact with the business community and employers in the state to hear their concerns and ideas,” she added.

“This roundtable series provides a wonderful opportunity for the more than 900 member businesses to really get to know the candidates and understand their positions on key issues,” said Tim Sink, president of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce.

The business roundtable series with presidential candidates will hold its first event at noon on Tuesday, April 28, at the Barley House restaurant, 132 North Main Street, Concord, New Hampshire.  The first candidate to speak will be Carly Fiorina of California, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard and a likely republican presidential candidate.  She became the first woman to lead a Fortune 50 business and grew it to the 11th most profitable company in the United States.  In her six years as Chairman and CEO, she doubled its revenues to $90 billion, more than quadrupled its growth to 9%, tripled the rate of innovation to 11 patents a day, and achieved market leadership in every market and product category.

The event is free and lunch will be served.  Space is limited and RSVPs are required by April 24, 2015.
